About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture function. In this pivotal role, you will provide insight, foresight, and oversight across our business and technology environments to drive agility, innovation, and automation.
Working closely with Business, Infrastructure, and Security Architects, as well as our Strategic Design Authority, you will translate strategic business goals into robust, scalable technical solutions across domains such as Payments, Data, and Applications.

Key Responsibilities
- Translate functional designs into high-quality technical architectures, assessing options to drive outcome-based decision-making.
- Define technology roadmaps aligned with our transformation goals, promoting standardized patterns, reference architectures, and technology estate simplification.
- Assure strategic change to ensure complete alignment with IT strategy, regulatory standards, security principles, and architecture design frameworks.
- Identify technology gaps, constraints, and risks within the technical estate; initiate consolidation, retirement, or replacement of legacy systems.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders (up to C-suite level) and external third-party providers, architects, and developers.
- Adhere strictly to Conduct Rules, regulatory guidelines, and Risk Management Frameworks (including Information Security and Data Governance).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong FS background, ideally with deep knowledge of Mortgages and Savings.
- Proven experience delivering within high-pace, large-scale programs with structured governance and defined artifacts.
- Hands-on experience designing solutions on the Microsoft technology stack (e.g., Azure).
- Extensive solution architecture experience utilizing industry-standard frameworks (ideally TOGAF).
- Demonstrated track record across the full change lifecycle, with the ability to construct, deconstruct, and communicate complex systems clearly.
- Strong ability to rapidly analyze and articulate the cost, risk, time, and impact implications of new functionality.
