Azure Technical Consultant I Remote I £60-£80K
My client is looking for an experienced Azure Technical Consultant to join a growing technology team delivering cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions for customers across a range of sectors.
This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll be involved in designing, deploying, migrating, and supporting Azure environments, working closely with customers and internal technical teams.
What you’ll be doing
- Design and deliver Microsoft Azure infrastructure solutions
- Deploy and configure Azure compute, storage, and PaaS services
- Design and troubleshoot Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN, Bastion, and ExpressRoute
- Support on-premises to Azure migrations and hybrid environments
- Implement Azure Backup and Site Recovery
- Configure Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and privileged access controls
- Implement Azure governance and security, including Azure Policy, Management Groups, and tagging
- Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using PowerShell
- Build infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform or Bicep
- Participate in customer workshops, discovery sessions, and technical meetings

What are we looking for?
- Experience delivering Azure infrastructure and cloud-focused projects
- Good understanding of Azure networking, including VPN, ExpressRoute, and Virtual Networks
- Knowledge of Azure security services, including Defender, Entra ID, RBAC, and PIM
- Experience working with Azure compute, storage, and platform services
- Awareness of Infrastructure as Code methodologies using Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools
- Experience using PowerShell and automation technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across Azure and hybrid environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a wider consultancy team
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
