We are currently looking to recruit General Operatives to work in the Primary area of our Lindal in Furness (Ulverston Site). The successful applicant will work in our Abattoir Production Areas.

Working for an established company within food production in our Abattoir. Candidates need to be physically fit, enthusiastic and flexible to work in our fast paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and be aware of the departmental SOP’s
  • Maintain the face pace environment in line with production needs
  • Work with the manager and team to achieve the department targets
  • Ensure customer and company specifications are achieved
  • Work to a clean as you go policy, ensure your work area is kept clean at all times and ensure it is cleaned when production is finished;
  • Promote and maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations.
  • Involvement in the slaughter and following processes of sheep and cattle in accordance with animal welfare regulations and guidelines
