Arden White Aviation & Aerospace Recruitment is working with a leading business jet organisation in Farnborough to recruit B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join their established aircraft maintenance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a B1 Licensed Engineer looking to build their career within business aviation, working on high-value business jets in a professional and highly regulated maintenance environment.

Both day and night shift opportunities are available, with an enhanced shift allowance for night shifts.

The Role

As a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out aircraft maintenance, inspection, rectification and certification activities in accordance with approved maintenance data and regulatory requirements.

Working as part of a highly skilled maintenance team, you will play an important role in ensuring aircraft are maintained safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out aircraft maintenance, inspections, defect rectification and modifications.
  • Certify completed maintenance within the scope of your licence and company authorisations.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose aircraft mechanical and associated systems.
  • Complete maintenance documentation, work orders and certification accurately.
  • Ensure all maintenance is carried out using approved data and procedures.
  • Work closely with other engineers, technicians and maintenance personnel.
  • Support aircraft movements and ground operations where required.
  • Ensure aircraft components and customer property are correctly identified and protected.
  • Use aircraft ground support equipment safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within aircraft, hangar and workshop environments.
  • Comply with all applicable CAA, Part-145, company and health & safety requirements.
  • Support aircraft testing and final certification activities where required.
  • Assist with mentoring and supporting junior engineers and fitters.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety at all times.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • A current UK CAA Part-66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
  • Relevant aircraft maintenance experience within a Part-145 environment.
  • Experience on business jets would be advantageous, although other aircraft backgrounds will be considered.
  • Strong mechanical and aircraft systems knowledge.
  • Experience carrying out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
  • A strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a professional engineering team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to safety and aircraft maintenance.
  • A willingness to work either day or night shifts depending on preference and business requirements.

Shift Patterns

Day Shifts

Day shift opportunities are available for engineers who prefer a traditional working pattern.

Night Shifts

4 days on / 4 days off 19:00 – 07:00 Enhanced night shift allowance

The 4-on / 4-off pattern provides an excellent work-life balance, with regular blocks of time away from work.
