B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B2 Dual-Licence Advantageous)

2 positions available | Farnborough Airport / Luton Airport | Shift pattern

PBES is recruiting two B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join our Part 145 Aircraft Line Maintenance Organisation across Farnborough Airport and Luton Airport.

B2 dual-licence is advantageous.

Specialising in Bombardier business aircraft, PBES provides aircraft maintenance, airworthiness and technical management support for business and charter aviation.

This is a hands-on role suited to experienced engineers who enjoy working in a fast-paced operational environment and being part of a wider team focused on supporting the aircraft and its operation.

THE ROLE

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting and carrying out maintenance on customer aircraft
  • Supporting aircraft arrivals and departures, including pre and post servicing
  • Completing maintenance tasks in accordance with Work Orders and approved maintenance data
  • Working as part of the PBES shift team and supporting other team members
  • Supervising mechanics
  • Supporting PBES line stations when required
  • Occasional international travel in support of operational and customer requirements
  • Reviewing quotations and invoices where required
  • Responding to customer queries and requests
  • Supporting PBES's 24/7 customer response capability

ABOUT YOU

You will need to hold a UK CAA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence with relevant type ratings and have relevant business aircraft maintenance experience.

We are particularly interested in engineers with experience on Bombardier CL604 and BD700 aircraft. Experience on other business aircraft makes will also be considered. B2 dual-licence is advantageous.

  • Relevant knowledge of Part M, Part 145 and other applicable regulations
  • At least six months of relevant aircraft or component maintenance experience within a consecutive two-year period
  • Current recurrent and continuation training as applicable
  • Knowledge and practical understanding of Human Factors and human performance and limitations
  • Knowledge of EWIS and CDCCL where relevant
  • Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings and approved maintenance data
  • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, regarding individual tasks and aircraft status
  • Competence using standard and special tools and applicable ground support equipment
  • Ability to identify and report defects or errors requiring rectification to maintain required maintenance standards
  • Full driving licence
  • Flexibility to support the operational requirements of the business

Experience using Microsoft Office applications and CAMP aircraft maintenance management systems would be advantageous.
