STS Aviation Services is hiring B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers for a 6- to 7-month contract supporting its winter maintenance programme in Newquay, Cornwall, United Kingdom.
These positions are scheduled to begin in September and require current Airbus A320 Family type ratings with recency. Successful candidates will perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance while providing leadership to mechanics and support personnel within the Newquay hangar.
Applicants must be UK citizens or currently hold valid authorisation to work for any employer in the United Kingdom. Any applicable work authorisation must have at least two years remaining before its expiration date.
Position Overview
The B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer will perform, supervise and certify aircraft maintenance within the scope of company approvals.
This position requires previous base maintenance experience, strong technical leadership and the flexibility to support changing operational requirements in a dynamic aircraft maintenance environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair and overhaul activities on customer aircraft
- Complete scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
- Certify maintenance within the scope of company approvals
- Provide leadership and supervision to aircraft mechanics and support personnel
- Lead by example and maintain high standards of maintenance execution
- Ensure aircraft maintenance is completed safely, efficiently and on schedule
- Support customer expectations for on-time performance
- Help maintain technical dispatch reliability
- Adapt to changing maintenance and operational requirements
Qualifications
- Current UK CAA Part-66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence
- Airbus A320 Family type rating with current recency
- Previous base maintenance experience
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
- Flexibility to meet changing work requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Full UK driving licence
