Social Security Scotland’s Fraud and Error Resolution Unit (FERU) is seeking a

Low-Income Benefits Interventions Officer to join their friendly and supportive Interventions Team.

Role Overview

As a Low-Income Benefits Interventions Officer, you will:

  • Undertake payment error control activity
  • Play an important part in contributing to the safeguarding of vital resources for the people of Scotland who need them
  • Review error cases to determine whether an error has occurred
  • Take corrective action, issue any underpayments to the clients, or refer the over payment to the Recoveries Team
  • Determine classifications and root causes of errors
  • Be able to explain your decision with a written explanation
