B1/C & B2/C Licensed Aircraft Engineers | Airbus A320 CEO

Arden White Aerospace Recruitment are currently working with a leading aviation organisation that is looking to recruit experienced B1/C and B2/C Licensed Aircraft Engineers with Airbus A320 CEO experience to join their growing maintenance operation in Teesside.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineers with a strong base maintenance background to take responsibility for the supervision, delivery and certification of aircraft maintenance inputs.

Multiple permanent opportunities are available, with requirements planned across 2026 and 2027.

The Role

As a B1/C or B2/C Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring aircraft maintenance is completed safely, compliantly and within the required timescales in accordance with approved maintenance data, regulatory requirements and company procedures.

Depending on your licence category and company authorisation, you will carry out B1 mechanical or B2 avionics certification responsibilities alongside Category C base maintenance responsibilities.

The positions are permanent, full time and based in Teesside, UK, with opportunities available across 2026 and 2027.

The primary aircraft focus is the Airbus A320 CEO, and applicants should hold a valid UK CAA and/or EASA Part 66 B1/C or B2/C Licence with the relevant A320 CEO type rating.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as B1 or B2 Certifying Staff and Category C Certifying Staff in accordance with individual company authorisations.
  • Carry out and certify aircraft maintenance within the privileges of your licence and company authorisation.
  • Support the delivery of Airbus A320 CEO base maintenance inputs.
  • Supervise mechanical, avionics or electrical maintenance activities in accordance with your licence privileges.
  • Exercise Category C privileges for the certification and release of aircraft following base maintenance.
  • Allocate and coordinate work across maintenance personnel where required.
  • Monitor the progress of maintenance inputs and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
  • Ensure maintenance is performed strictly in accordance with approved maintenance data.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and mechanics throughout maintenance activities.
  • Support aircraft defect investigation, troubleshooting and rectification.
  • Perform or support aircraft system testing, fault isolation and defect resolution as appropriate to your licence category.
  • Ensure company procedures, regulatory requirements and the approved MOE are followed at all times.
  • Review completed maintenance work packages for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify errors, omissions and outstanding actions within maintenance documentation and ensure appropriate corrections are completed.
  • Ensure all required maintenance has been completed and appropriately certified prior to aircraft release.
  • Liaise effectively with CAMO, Quality, Planning, Technical Services and other operational departments.
  • Support the management and rectification of deferred defects where applicable.
  • Ensure maintenance records are completed clearly, accurately and without ambiguity.
  • Work effectively with Quality Auditors and support internal and external compliance activities.
  • Ensure tooling, test equipment and maintenance equipment is used, controlled and maintained in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Support the appropriate inspection, classification and storage of components, parts, materials, tooling and equipment where required.
  • Ensure completed work packages and maintenance documentation are processed and returned to the relevant departments as required.
  • Report maintenance occurrences, safety concerns and potential hazards through the appropriate internal reporting processes.
  • Maintain and promote a positive Just Culture within the maintenance organisation.
  • Support continuous improvement and the application of Human Factors principles throughout maintenance activities.
  • Attend all required continuation, regulatory and aircraft specific training.
  • Perform additional reasonable duties associated with the effective operation of the maintenance facility.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants should hold:

  • A valid UK CAA and/or EASA Part 66 B1/C or B2/C Licence.
  • A current Airbus A320 CEO type rating.
  • Strong Airbus A320 CEO maintenance experience.
  • Previous Part 145 base maintenance experience.
  • Supervisory experience running or supporting base maintenance checks.
  • Experience exercising B1/C or B2/C privileges within an approved maintenance environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge for B1/C applicants or strong avionics and electrical knowledge for B2/C applicants.
  • Experience reviewing and controlling aircraft maintenance work packages.
  • Strong troubleshooting and defect rectification capabilities.
  • Good knowledge of Part 145 and Part 66 requirements.
  • Knowledge of Part M/CAMO requirements.
  • Understanding of Part 147 requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of approved maintenance data and aircraft maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work in accordance with approved maintenance data and procedures.

Additional current type ratings on Boeing 737NG, Embraer 135/145 or ATR 42/72 would be advantageous.

Training Requirements

  • Human Factors qualified.
  • EWIS qualified.
  • Fuel Tank Safety / SFAR 88 qualified.

About You

You will be an experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer with a strong Airbus A320 CEO and base maintenance background who is comfortable taking responsibility for aircraft maintenance, certification and the supervision of maintenance activities.

Whether your background is B1 mechanical or B2 avionics, you will combine strong technical knowledge with Category C experience and the ability to oversee the successful delivery of base maintenance inputs.

You should be confident coordinating engineering personnel, reviewing maintenance documentation, resolving technical issues and ensuring aircraft maintenance is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with the required regulatory and quality standards.
