Arden White Aerospace Recruitment are currently working with a leading aviation maintenance organisation that is looking to recruit experienced B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join their established Base Maintenance operation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy aircraft maintenance environment, taking responsibility for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while leading and supporting Technicians and Mechanics throughout Base Maintenance checks.

The Role

As a B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering maintenance activities safely, efficiently and in accordance with Part 145 requirements, company procedures and customer requirements.

You will supervise, mentor and delegate resources while maintaining the highest standards of engineering, safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out aircraft maintenance and inspections in accordance with approved procedures
  • Lead Technicians and Mechanics throughout Base Maintenance checks
  • Carry out avionics and electrical defect investigation and rectification
  • Troubleshoot aircraft electrical, avionics and associated systems
  • Support aircraft repair, overhaul and modification activities
  • Carry out component replacement and modification embodiment
  • Ensure maintenance documentation and task cards are completed accurately and on time
  • Ensure correct timings and bookings are recorded against maintenance tasks
  • Keep Production Planning and Management informed of maintenance requirements and potential issues
  • Ensure aircraft components are correctly stored, labelled and controlled
  • Maintain high engineering and housekeeping standards throughout the hangar
  • Maintain effective FOD prevention practices
  • Supervise, mentor and support engineering personnel
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance practices and operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with Part 145 requirements, company procedures and Health & Safety standards

Location & Package

  • Location: St Athan, South Wales
  • Salary: £72,077 + £14,000 Shift Premium
  • Total Package: £86,077 per annum
  • Employment: Permanent
  • Environment: Base Maintenance

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Minimum 3 years of Base Maintenance experience
  • Ability to use recognised aircraft maintenance documentation
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionics systems
  • Experience with component replacement and modification embodiment
  • Strong fault finding and defect rectification capability
  • In depth knowledge of relevant aircraft systems
  • Ability to lead and supervise Technicians and Mechanics

Licence & Type Requirements

Candidates must hold an appropriate B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence. Licence requirements include:

  • UK CAA AML
  • EASA AML issued before 31 December 2020
  • UK CAA AML and EASA AML where the EASA licence was issued after 31 December 2020

Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience and type ratings on the Boeing 737 CL, NG or MAX.

Candidates without these type ratings may also be considered for company funded type rating training. Successful candidates must be available and willing to complete aircraft type training where required.

Shift Patterns

Several seasonal shift patterns are available:

Seasonal Shift 1:

  • Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 18:15
  • Friday, 07:00 to 14:30

Seasonal Shift 2:

  • 5 on / 4 off, 5 on / 4 off, 5 on / 5 off
  • 07:00 to 18:15

Seasonal Shift 3:

  • 7 on / 7 off
  • 07:00 to 18:15
