B2B Commercial Sales Manager

Since then, we have grown into one of England’s leading providers of solar PV and battery storage solutions, helping homeowners and businesses save energy, save money and give the grid a bit of a helping hand.

The Role
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role for someone who understands the electrical industry and is confident dealing with clients, contractors, suppliers and project teams.

You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, visiting clients and sites, understanding project requirements, preparing competitive quotations and following opportunities through to successful completion.
You will also help develop long-term relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities to increase business opportunities.
A Typical Day – Your Roles & Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
- Set Sales Goals: Build annual sales quotas, revenue targets, and growth forecasts.
- Develop Sales Plans: Create actionable market strategies to capture new business and expand existing accounts.
- Market Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, industry trends, and market research to spot commercial opportunities.
Lead and Mentor
- Performance Tracking: Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), pipeline health, and individual activity metrics.
- Remove Roadblocks: Clear internal hurdles and support staff during complex contract negotiations or closing stages.
Key Account Oversight
- Take a hands-on approach with major B2B clients, strategic partners, and high-value tenders.
- Relationship Building: Foster long-term trust, secure renewals, and manage client retention.
- Value Creation: Guide buyers through complex sales cycles and match solutions to client outcomes.

Operations and Reporting
- CRM Management: Oversee pipeline accuracy and data hygiene
- Leadership Reporting: Present regular revenue forecasts and performance data to senior executives.
Your Expertise Are Crucial – Your Experience & Knowledge
To succeed here at Electech you will need:
- A high degree of emotional intelligence, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build strong relationship
- The charisma and confidence to communicate with all people from all backgrounds enabling you to be a great representative of our business
- A good understanding of what we do and the products we offer to both of our residential and commercial clients
- The hunger and motivation to succeed and to inspire those around you to achieve great things
- At least 2-3 years’ experience working in B2B sales and business development
What to Expect – Recruitment Process
First Stage – 30-minute initial call via Zoom with our People Manager
Second Stage – 30-40 minute face to face meeting & presentation with one of our Founders
Final Stage – 10 minute fire-chat with our Sales Manager
