About the role
Culture Craft is looking for an experienced freelance B2B Creative & Content Partner to help us turn our existing thinking, propositions, and brand into clear, commercially effective, and beautifully executed communications.
We already have a strong and distinctive brand identity, established tone of voice, visual language, and design system. What we need is someone who can take that foundation and elevate the quality, clarity, and consistency of what we put into the world.
This is a hands-on role covering both copy and design. We are looking for someone who is genuinely strong in both disciplines, rather than a specialist in one with a working knowledge of the other.
You’ll be taking relatively open briefs, understanding the commercial objective, challenging and refining the thinking where needed, and then owning the work through to finished, usable assets.
The initial work
Our immediate priority is sales and marketing collateral around our core offers, alongside some website work.
Priority areas include:
- Website copy and content – helping us sharpen and structure key pages so the proposition is immediately clear, compelling, and easy to understand.
- Sales – sales/overview collateral, pitch or sales deck, and supporting assets.
- Proposal template – a polished, reusable proposal format that is easy for us to adapt.
- One-pagers and service overviews – clear, concise assets that communicate the value of what we do without trying to say everything at once.
- Case studies – developing both the copy and presentation so they work as useful sales assets rather than simply being project write-ups.
There are also likely to be further requirements around:
- service brochures
- LinkedIn and campaign assets
- event collateral
- reusable templates
- other brand and sales materials as they arise
The work will be prioritized together. There are one or two assets that are particularly time-sensitive, but the wider aim is to get the priority body of work underway and substantially progressed over the next 2–3 weeks.
After the initial priority work, there is likely to be a need for ongoing ad-hoc freelance work as new campaigns, offers, and collateral arise.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Skills
Copy
You should be able to take a relatively open brief and work out:
- what the proposition actually is
- what the audience needs to understand
- what the strongest messages are
- what should be left out
- how the message should be structured
- how to make something simpler without making it generic
You should be comfortable writing for B2B audiences and buying journeys, rather than simply producing engaging marketing copy.
Design
You should be able to turn that thinking into polished, professional visual communication across:
- presentations and sales decks
- proposals
- one-pagers
- service overviews
- case studies
- web content
- digital and print collateral
We currently use Canva for most creative and presentation work because we want to retain the ability to edit and reuse assets internally. You don’t have to be a Canva-only designer, but you do need to be comfortable producing high-quality, editable work within that environment.
We already have a strong visual identity and digital design system. We’re very open to thoughtful recommendations about how that could be refined or elevated, but we’re not looking for a rebrand.
How we like to work
We’re looking for someone who can take ownership rather than needing detailed instructions at every stage.
That means being comfortable with:
Brief → think → challenge → structure → write/design → refine → deliver.
We want you to bring your judgment to the work. If you think the proposition isn’t clear, something is trying to do too much, or we’re focusing on the wrong message, we want you to say so.
Equally, we’re not looking for a lengthy strategy or discovery exercise before anything gets made. The thinking and brand foundations are already there. This is primarily translation, creative judgment, and execution.
You’ll also work alongside our lead generation/marketing partner, making sure the content and collateral connect with the campaigns we’re running and what we’re asking the market to do.
Must-have experience
We’re looking for someone with:
- Significant freelance experience and the ability to own work independently.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating both copywriting and design, ideally showing examples where the two have been developed together.
- Proven B2B experience – this is essential.
- Experience working with startups, scale-ups, or growing businesses, where pace and pragmatism matter.
- Experience creating commercial assets such as sales decks, pitch decks, proposals, one-pagers, websites, and/or case studies.
- Strong commercial judgment and an understanding of how content and design support marketing and sales, not just brand awareness.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Strong visual and layout skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to work within an existing brand while knowing when and how to improve its application.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to take a brief, ask the right questions, and then get on with it.
- The availability to start quickly and make meaningful progress during the initial 2–3 week period.

What this role isn’t
We’re deliberately looking for a very specific type of freelancer, so a few things are worth being clear about.
- This isn’t a rebrand. We love our brand and want to build on it.
- This isn’t a brand strategy project. We’re not looking for weeks of discovery, positioning workshops, or a new tone-of-voice framework.
- This isn’t purely a copywriting role or purely a design role. We need someone who can do both to a genuinely high standard.
- This isn’t about creating more content for the sake of it. Every asset should have a clear purpose and make it easier for the right people to understand, engage with, or buy what we do.
We value strategic thinking, but we need that thinking to translate into excellent work. We’re looking for someone who can move quickly from understanding the problem to producing the solution.
What great looks like
The ideal outcome is that our communications become noticeably clearer, more consistent, and more polished — without losing the personality and attitude that make Culture Craft distinctive.
You should be able to help us get to the point where someone unfamiliar with Culture Craft can look at our website or a sales asset and quickly understand:
- what we do, why it matters, why we’re different, and what they should do next.
And we want to get there without saying everything, overcomplicating the message, or diluting what makes us different – that’s where this role comes in.
If you’re equally comfortable thinking about the words, the structure, and the visual communication, and you enjoy taking a strong existing brand and making it better, we’d like to hear from you.
We will require a portfolio of relevant B2B work, and projects where you have been responsible for both the copy and the creative/design will need to be demonstrated.
