About Speedel

Speedel is a growing time-critical logistics company providing dedicated UK same day delivery, European express transport and worldwide On Board Courier solutions.

We support businesses across sectors including aerospace, automotive, manufacturing and technology, where speed, reliability and visibility are critical.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a B2B Lead Generation & Sales Development Executive to join our commercial team.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for someone who is curious about businesses, confident starting conversations and good at finding ways into organisations we want to work with.

This isn’t a scripted telesales or high-volume call-centre role.

You’ll research target corporate accounts, identify the right stakeholders and find genuine reasons to start conversations.

Working closely with our Business Development team, you’ll own the early stages of the sales process — from identifying and researching prospective customers through to engaging, qualifying and securing high-quality discovery meetings.

Your goal is simple: create a consistent pipeline of meaningful conversations with businesses that could genuinely benefit from Speedel’s services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Do

  • Research and identify corporate organisations that fit our target customer profile.
  • Understand prospective customers, their operations and where Speedel could potentially add value.
  • Identify and map relevant decision-makers across procurement, supply chain, logistics, operations and other functions.
  • Spot trigger events and commercial reasons to approach target organisations.
  • Develop tailored approaches to individual accounts rather than relying on generic sales messaging.
  • Prospect through telephone, email, LinkedIn and other appropriate channels.
  • Confidently engage with decision-makers and senior stakeholders.
  • Find alternative routes into organisations when the first approach doesn’t work.
  • Build relationships with multiple stakeholders within target accounts.
  • Qualify prospects and secure discovery meetings for our Business Development team.
  • Nurture longer-term prospects where the timing isn’t yet right.
  • Maintain accurate prospect, activity and follow-up information within our CRM.
  • Work closely with the BDM to ensure opportunities are handed over effectively.

What We're Looking For

You don’t need previous logistics experience. We’re more interested in your commercial curiosity, communication skills and ability to create opportunities.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Previous B2B lead generation, sales development, outbound sales or business development experience.
  • Confidence prospecting by telephone as well as digitally.
  • Strong research and communication skills.
  • Experience engaging professionally with corporate decision-makers.
  • The ability to think creatively when prospects don’t respond.
  • A proactive, persistent and organised approach.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Experience using a CRM to manage prospects and follow-ups.

What Success Looks like

We care about quality, not simply activity.

Success won’t be measured by making hundreds of calls or sending hundreds of generic emails.

You’ll work towards generating approximately 12–15 qualified discovery meetings per month with relevant corporate prospects, while helping us continuously improve how we identify, approach and engage new customers.

What We Offer

  • £27,000–£30,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
  • Performance-related bonus.
  • Hybrid working.
  • Private healthcare.
  • Structured training and development.
  • Exposure to major corporate organisations and complex B2B sales environments.
  • The opportunity to have a visible impact within a growing business.
  • A clear development path into senior sales development and Business Development Manager roles.

Interested?

If you’re commercially curious, confident starting conversations and enjoy the challenge of turning research into genuine business opportunities, we’d like to hear from you.
