We are looking for a bright, energetic and commercially minded B2B marketer to take ownership of our marketing and help us raise the profile of IKONYX and 3form Design.

We are a 26-year-old creative design and engineering consultancy based in Whitchurch, Hampshire. We work on technically complex products and medical devices, as well as innovative products bringing genuinely new ideas to market.

It is a friendly, collaborative team and a genuinely creative place to work, with a constant mix of new ideas, design challenges and products being developed, tested and brought to life. We also have a lovely working environment in Whitchurch — very different from a typical corporate office.

The role

This is a hands-on marketing role. You will own the marketing activity, but we are not looking for someone to sit above the work and manage other people or agencies.

We want someone who enjoys getting into a project, understanding what makes it interesting and then doing something with it.

You might spend the morning talking to one of our engineers about a new medical device, turn that conversation into a case study or LinkedIn piece, spot an opportunity for an editorial, work with the design team on imagery and then plan how we use the story across our website and wider marketing.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About you

We imagine you will have around 3–5 years of solid B2B marketing experience and be ready for a role where you can take real ownership.

More importantly, you will be:

  • Clever and curious. You enjoy understanding how things work and are comfortable asking engineers questions until you really understand the story.
  • A good writer. You can take something complicated and make it interesting without dumbing it down.
  • Creative. You have a good eye and understand that how something is presented matters.
  • A doer. You are happy writing the article, building the campaign, organising the photography, updating the website or contacting the publication yourself.
  • Commercially aware. You understand that good marketing ultimately needs to put us in front of the right businesses and help create opportunities.
  • Energetic and self-motivated. You see an opportunity and run with it.

Experience in design, engineering, manufacturing, medical devices, technology, architecture, professional services or another technical B2B environment would be particularly interesting, but it is not essential.

A degree is not essential either. We are much more interested in what you have done, how you think and what you can create.

Why IKONYX?

You will have the freedom to make this role your own.

There is no shortage of interesting material here — products being designed, prototypes being made, engineering problems being solved, tools being built and products going into manufacture.

We need someone who can help us turn all of that into marketing that is intelligent, engaging and gets us noticed by the right people.

If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
