The Opportunity Hub UK is recruiting on behalf of an established London-based accountancy and business advisory firm supporting organizations across the UK. The business works extensively with start-ups, technology companies, fintech businesses, SaaS organizations, contractors, and growing SMEs, combining specialist financial expertise with a technology-led approach.
With an established client base and ambitions for continued growth, the business is now looking to strengthen its commercial team with an experienced B2B SaaS Business Development Manager who can generate opportunities and convert them into new clients.
Job Overview
As a B2B SaaS Business Development Manager, you'll take responsibility for the full sales cycle, from identifying and approaching potential customers through to discovery, demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
This is not solely a lead generation position. You'll be expected to create your own opportunities while also working with inbound enquiries, warm leads, and previous prospects.
The successful B2B SaaS Business Development Manager will be comfortable speaking directly with founders, business owners, directors, and senior decision-makers. You'll understand how to uncover commercial challenges, demonstrate value, and confidently move opportunities through the pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identifying and approaching potential B2B customers through telephone, email, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels
- Building, developing, and managing a healthy pipeline of prospective clients
- Following up and converting inbound enquiries, warm leads, and previous prospects
- Conducting discovery conversations to understand prospects' businesses, challenges, and requirements
- Qualifying opportunities and prioritising prospects with strong commercial potential
- Delivering engaging online and face-to-face product demonstrations
- Clearly communicating the commercial value of the solution to prospective customers
- Managing the complete sales cycle from initial prospecting through to proposal, negotiation, and close
- Building strong relationships with founders, business owners, directors, and other senior stakeholders
- Handling objections confidently and progressing conversations towards a commercial decision
- Negotiating agreements and successfully closing new business
- Maintaining accurate records of conversations, opportunities, and pipeline activity within the CRM
- Working consistently towards individual sales and revenue targets
- Collaborating with the wider team to improve messaging, lead generation, and the overall sales process

Required Skills
- Previous experience within B2B SaaS sales or a closely related technology sales environment
- Proven full-cycle sales experience, rather than solely lead generation or appointment setting
- A strong track record of prospecting and generating your own new business opportunities
- Demonstrable experience closing B2B deals and achieving sales targets
- Confidence delivering software or technology product demonstrations
- Strong telephone, written, and face-to-face communication skills
- Commercial confidence when communicating with founders, directors, and senior decision-makers
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills
- A proactive and resilient approach to outbound business development
- Excellent organization, pipeline management, and follow-up skills
- Experience using CRM platforms and modern sales prospecting tools
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of your performance within a hybrid environment

Benefits
- £40,000 to £50,000 basic salary, depending on experience
