Our client is a leading UK manufacturer of temporary fencing, barriers, gates, and site safety products, supplying the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors nationwide. As a B2B Sales Associate, you'll play a key role in building and developing relationships with business customers across the construction and infrastructure sectors. You'll proactively contact new and existing clients to understand their project requirements, recommend suitable products, prepare accurate quotations, and process orders, while identifying opportunities to maximize order values through cross-selling and upselling. Working closely with internal teams, you'll ensure a smooth customer journey from initial enquiry through to delivery, providing outstanding service at every stage. You'll also develop long-term client relationships, follow up on quotations, generate repeat business, and contribute to achieving individual and team sales targets in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
Position Duties
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business customers, acting as a key point of contact to understand their requirements and provide tailored product solutions.
- Proactively engage with new and existing clients through telephone, email, and face-to-face communication to identify sales opportunities and generate repeat business.
- Understand customer needs, project requirements, and purchasing timelines to recommend the most suitable products, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare accurate quotations, process customer orders, and manage the sales journey from initial enquiry through to successful delivery.
- Maximize order values by identifying opportunities for additional products, upgrades, and complementary solutions that add value for the customer.
- Follow up on quotations and enquiries, converting opportunities into confirmed sales while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Develop long-term client relationships by providing regular communication, resolving queries efficiently, and ensuring customers receive a reliable and professional service.
- Work closely with internal teams including operations, logistics, and account management to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and opportunities within company systems.
- Achieve individual and team sales targets by managing a strong pipeline of opportunities and consistently delivering against KPIs.
- Stay up to date with company products, industry trends, and customer requirements to provide knowledgeable advice and strengthen client partnerships.

Position Requirements
- B2B Sales Experience Is Essential For This Position.
- A background in the construction industry would be desirable but not essential, if you have in-depth B2B sales experience in a closely similar sector.
- Confident communicating with clients over the phone, email, and face-to-face, building trust, and maintaining professional relationships.
- Strong ability to develop long-term customer relationships, encourage repeat business, and become a trusted point of contact.
- Experience identifying new opportunities, contacting potential customers, and growing sales pipelines.
- Ability to negotiate pricing, overcome objections, and influence purchasing decisions.
- Understanding of customer requirements, order values, margins, and opportunities to increase revenue.
- Commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience and resolving queries quickly and effectively.
- Confidence identifying additional products or services that provide value to customers and increase order value.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries, prepare quotations, process orders, and maintain accurate records.
- Comfortable working with internal teams including operations, logistics, procurement, and account management.
- Able to work independently, manage workload effectively, and take ownership of sales opportunities.

Position Remuneration
- Salary of up to £40,000 depending on your previous B2B sales and construction experience.
- Regular working hours, with a friendly, motivated office environment.
- 20 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, increasing by 1 day per year of continuous service.
- Clear steps to career progression, with the opportunity to learn more on the job.
- Pension scheme upon completion of probation.
