About Us
Cupid Group is a fast-growing, omnichannel beauty retailer bringing the best of Asian skincare to a global audience. What began as a curated e-commerce destination has evolved into a trusted brand partner across online, retail, and wholesale channels in the UK and beyond. We work closely with leading and emerging Asian beauty brands to introduce innovative formulations, advanced skincare philosophies, and high-performance products to new markets. Our strength lies not only in curation, but in how we translate complex skincare into accessible, educational, and community-led experiences.
At Cupid Group, we combine commercial rigour with creativity. We move quickly, think analytically, and care deeply about the brands and customers we represent. Joining our team means being part of an ambitious company shaping the future of Asian beauty in Western markets.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially sharp Senior Manager to lead the growth of Skin Cupid's wholesale (B2B) business.
You will be the main point of contact for our brands and retail partners, leading both the day-to-day relationship alongside our Exec Account Manager and the longer-term commercial agenda. You will be accountable for the revenue and gross margin the channel delivers, lead the annual planning and forecasting cycle, and take the first pass on commercial and contractual terms with both retailers and brand partners.
You will also line manage our Exec Account Manager from day one, and help shape what the wholesale team needs to look like as the channel grows.
A meaningful part of your first year will be building: the process, the reporting rhythm, the commercial frameworks, and the account plans. The ideal candidate has led significant UK retail accounts, is confident negotiating commercial and contractual terms, and has managed or developed at least one person. You are analytical, calm under pressure, concise in how you communicate, and comfortable making decisions without a large support structure behind you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Retailer & Account Leadership: Act as the main point of contact for our wholesale retail partners, leading the day-to-day relationship, the trading agenda, and the annual account plan for each.
- Commercial & Margin Accountability: Be accountable for the B2B revenue and gross margin number across all accounts and categories, lead on pricing and trading terms, and improve revenue and profitability by account and by brand through negotiation.
- Planning & Forecasting: Lead the annual B2B plan and budget submission alongside finance, then deliver against it, reforecast where needed, and explain variance clearly.
- Brand Partner Management: Manage relationships with our brand partners, including the growing expectations around reporting, forecasting, compliance, and marketing support, and align brand interests with those of our retail customers and the wider Cupid Group.
- Commercial & Contract Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiation with retailers and brands, produce the first draft or first-pass markup on agreements covering exclusivity, order commitments, marketing contribution, term and termination, and bring a recommended position to senior review.
- New Business Development: Build and convert a pipeline of new retail partners, and make the case for which accounts we grow, hold, or step away from.
- Team Leadership: Line manage the B2B Junior Account Manager, including objectives, regular one-to-ones, honest feedback and genuine development, and set the standard for how the wholesale team operates.
- Operations, Supply Chain & Compliance: Lead the operational interface with our warehouse, including EDI onboarding, retailer compliance, audits, delivery performance, and chargeback reduction, and keep visibility of the debtor position across your accounts.
- Process & Systems Improvement: Design and document the core wholesale processes so the channel can scale without headcount scaling at the same rate, and use AI and automation to remove repetitive work rather than absorb it.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Buying, Merchandising, Operations, Finance, and Marketing on assortment, forecasting, stock, launches, and promotions, and present clearly and concisely to senior leadership with a recommendation attached.
