About us
Waypoint is a digital marketing agency based in Winchester, Hampshire. We work with clients across manufacturing, industrial, education, property and professional services, on subjects that are genuinely technical, not generic product copy.
The role
We're looking for a copywriter who can produce content across our client portfolio and write with SEO and AEO (AI answer visibility) in mind. Content planning happens in partnership with AI tools, so you'll be shaping and refining that output as much as writing from a blank page.
Success here looks like technical B2B content that reads credibly to an expert audience while performing in both traditional search and AI-generated answers, delivered reliably without heavy oversight.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you'll do
- Produce content: blog posts, case studies, award submissions, sales materials and ebooks
- Research and translate technical, niche B2B subject matter into clear, credible copy
- Write, edit and maintain website copy, including working in client CMS platforms where required
- Develop and manage content plans using AI tools as part of the process, shaping and editing AI-assisted drafts rather than just generating first drafts
- Apply SEO and AEO principles directly to that content: keyword and topic research, on-page structure, and formatting for both organic search and AI-summary visibility
What we're looking for
- Proven, demonstrable track record in B2B copywriting/content
- Strong editorial judgement, able to shape and fact-check AI-assisted drafts, not just accept them
- Confident working with AI tools as part of a content workflow (full training provided on our specific setup and tools)
- Experience writing and maintaining website copy, including CMS experience
- Comfortable getting genuinely fluent in technical, industrial subject matter
- Based within commuting distance of Winchester for monthly in-person time; remote otherwise
