Role Description
The B2B Trade Sales Manager – Ingredients & Supply Chain is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Manchester. This role is responsible for managing and growing B2B trade sales of nutritional and functional ingredients to health supplement, food, petfood and personal care relative sectors. The role involves collaborating with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure product availability, timely delivery, and accurate forecasting, as well as coordinating with technical and regulatory colleagues to address customer requirements and compliance queries. The B2B Trade Sales Manager will:
- Prepare sales proposals
- Conduct market and competitor analysis
- Attend industry events or customer visits as needed
- Provide ongoing customer support to strengthen long-term partnerships
Qualifications
- Strong trade sales and B2B sales experience, preferably within ingredients, nutraceuticals, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of UK business culture and able to communicate confidently with local customers and partners.
- Proven sales management capabilities, including pipeline management, target setting, and performance tracking.
- Customer service skills with a focus on relationship-building, account management, and responsive communication.
- Business development skills to identify opportunities, open new accounts, and expand existing business.
- Understanding of supply chain principles, lead times, and inventory coordination in a manufacturing or ingredients environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, commercially driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits and industry events.
- Prior experience in health supplements, food ingredients, or personal care ingredients is highly beneficial.
