Believ: ABOUT US
At Believ, formerly known as Liberty Charge, we’re committed to sustainable transport being accessible to everyone. We’re a Charge Point Operator (CPO) on a mission to create the UK’s most reliable electric vehicle charging network that doesn’t cost the earth and leaves no one behind. Providing equitable access to electric vehicle charging, and achieving cleaner air for all, is at the heart of the Believ mission. We work closely with local authorities and businesses to deliver reliable, high quality charging networks at pace, at scale and at zero cost.
We offer all the advantages of being a scale-up business, but with the added security and long-term backing from well-known parents - Liberty Global (who also own our delivery partner, Virgin Media O2) and Zouk Capital (who manage the Government’s Charging Investment Infrastructure Fund).
You’ll be joining this exciting journey at the start of our scale-up phase, and working with us to hit the ambitious targets our shareholders have set. You’ll become part of a passionate and supportive team in a fast-paced, dynamic and result-driven environment.
About the role
As a Regional Build Director you will own delivery outcomes for Believ's local authority build programme across your allocated region, translating accepted, build-ready sites into installed, energised and operational charge points on time, to budget and to standard. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will lead the Senior Programme Managers responsible for the region's multi-disciplinary build squads and be accountable for overall regional delivery performance, priorities, capacity, development and output. Key responsibilities span Regional Delivery Ownership, Squad Leadership & Capability, Site Handover & Build Readiness & Acceptance, Connections & Metering & Energisation, Contractor & Supply Chain Management, Customer & Client & Community Engagement, Commissioning, Quality & Handover, and Safety, Data & Reporting. This is a senior regional leadership role with real autonomy at the sharp end of the UK's transition to electric mobility.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About you
At Believ, we are building a culture that attracts and retains the best talent. We are a dedicated and high-performing team, accustomed to working at pace in an ever-evolving industry, and we are looking for people who are as passionate as us about cutting carbon emissions and providing cleaner air for all. - Substantial experience leading multi-site infrastructure delivery at scale, with accountability for programme, cost and quality, gained within the CPO, electricity utilities or telecommunications utilities sectors.

- Demonstrable experience delivering infrastructure in local authority on-street and car park environments, including permitting, streetworks, reinstatement and the practical requirements of working on operational public sites.
- Strong working knowledge of DNO connection processes and the technical and commercial realities of energising new infrastructure at scale.
- Experience managing multi-contractor delivery models, including allocation, performance management and supply chain growth.
- Commercial acumen with experience owning a delivery budget, forecasting volumes and managing variance.
- Comfort with data as a management tool: KPI ownership, dashboard reporting, and using operational data to drive performance.
- Excellent communication skills, credible with a council officer, a contractor's site team, a resident at their front door and an executive audience, often in the same week.
- Based within, or able to travel regularly across, the allocated UK region, with a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to Believ offices, local authority locations, construction sites and supplier premises.
