About The Role
Do you enjoy building relationships, delivering engaging presentations and helping people explore their future opportunities?
We are looking for a Recruitment Officer to join our Student Recruitment team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in inspiring prospective students and supporting the University's recruitment ambitions.
You will work with schools, colleges and other key stakeholders across the Cheshire and Manchester region, promoting the benefits of higher education and helping potential students make informed decisions about their next steps.
The role offers a varied mix of activities, including delivering presentations and workshops, attending recruitment events, analysing engagement data and supporting on-campus visits. You will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to widening participation and attracting students to the University of Staffordshire.
What You'll Be Doing
- You Will
- Build and maintain effective relationships with schools, colleges and other educational partners across your allocated region.
- Develop tailored recruitment and engagement plans to support student recruitment objectives.
- Deliver engaging presentations, workshops and information sessions to prospective students and key influencers, including teachers, advisers and parents/carers.
- Represent the University at recruitment fairs, exhibitions and outreach events.
- Support the planning and delivery of campus visits and recruitment activities on campus.
- Capture, monitor and maintain accurate data using customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Analyse activity and engagement data to evaluate impact and inform future recruitment activity.
- Work collaboratively with academic schools and professional services teams to achieve recruitment targets.

About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience of building and maintaining professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating events, outreach or engagement activities.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues while managing your own workload effectively.
- Confidence using data and systems to monitor performance and support decision-making.
- An understanding of the higher education sector, student recruitment, education, outreach or a related environment.
You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent professional experience or qualifications.
Additional Information
This role involves regular travel throughout the Cheshire and Manchester region. We welcome discussions about any support or reasonable adjustments that may enable you to meet the travel requirements of the role.
There will also be occasional evening and weekend working to support events and recruitment activities. Advance notice will be provided wherever possible.
