Elmbridge Neighbourhood Mental Health Team

Elmbridge Neighbourhood Mental Health Team in the Complex Needs pathway is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic community mental health nurse (NMC) to join our team. We have two roles: full time and part time - 4 days per week. Please mention in supporting statement which role you would like to apply.

The team is moving through a transition to an All-Age Neighbourhood Mental Health Team to provide more joined up mental health care for our community.

About the Role

As part of our multi-disciplinary team, the successful applicant will deliver comprehensive assessments and a variety of approaches, interventions, and treatments to individuals experiencing severe and enduring mental health issues, supporting them in their personal recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct assessments and provide various interventions and treatments to individuals experiencing severe and enduring mental health issues.
  • Lead and Professional Responsibility: Take lead and professional responsibility for a number of service users.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • High-Quality Service Delivery: Committed to delivering a high-quality service, working both independently and as part of our well-established, innovative, and recovery-focused team.
  • Caseload Management: Manage a defined caseload and conduct initial assessments for clients referred to the service.
  • Crisis Support: Support individuals experiencing mental health crises in the community.
  • Training Opportunities: Various training opportunities available to enhance skills in delivering low-intensity psychological interventions.

  • Driving Licence: Valid driving licence and the unrestricted use of a car or motorcycle for work at all times, including community-based work.

Surrey is a beautiful county lying just 30 minutes away from Central London and from the South Coast. Our historic market towns and bustling districts are enveloped in wonderful countryside, and our excellent road and rail networks bring the rest of the country within easy reach. For international travel, both Gatwick and Heathrow airports are nearby.
