We welcome applications from qualified or soon-to-be qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologists to join our supportive and dynamic team. We provide regular clinical supervision, CPD events, and high-quality training opportunities, alongside regular networking and collaboration with psychologists across our Trust locality.
Our Elmbridge Neighbourhood Mental Health Team supports adults experiencing complex, severe, and enduring mental health difficulties. Guided by recovery-focused principles, we deliver NICE-recommended, evidence-based interventions that empower people to achieve meaningful outcomes. The successful candidate will provide highly specialist psychological services, including comprehensive assessments and the delivery of individual and group psychological therapies.
- You will work closely with experienced psychologists and a skilled multidisciplinary team, including Mental Health Practitioners, Community Psychiatric Nurses, and Psychiatrists.
- The role also offers valuable opportunities to collaborate with Home Treatment Teams, Inpatient Services, and other partner teams, ensuring integrated, person-centred care.
- You will play a key role in both assessment and the delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions.
Subject to reasonable adjustments for disability, candidates must hold a valid driving licence, be able to drive, and have unrestricted access to a car or motorcycle for work purposes, including community-based visits.

Responsibilities:
- To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.
- To maintain high standards of care in all areas of practice in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Trust Policies and Procedures.
- To act within the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act (2005).
- To be aware of and implement Safeguarding Adult and Child Protection Policies, Procedures, and legislation.
- To carry out comprehensive psychological and cognitive assessments and formulation, plan, implement and evaluate delivery of psychology interventions and consultations to support people with specific needs.
- To actively involve people in developing and agreeing their own care plan, to act as an advocate, and ensure that there is proper regard for their dignity, choice, self-esteem, racial, cultural, sexual, and religious needs and preferences.
- To work creatively to adapt verbal and written communication to meet the needs of people who use our services.
- To undertake comprehensive risk assessments and develop effective risk management plans.
