About the Role

This Baby and Toddler Swimming Teacher role allows you to make a positive difference daily while delivering fun, progressive swimming lessons for little ones using the Swim Ireland learn-to-swim framework. Many former swimmers from our programmes have gone on to compete—even representing their country!
You’ll enjoy flexible teaching hours, ** libre-validation of your expertise**, and attacking work-life balance—anyway you need it. NCLT (through Serco) covers your safeguarding training, DBS checks, and insurances, making the process stress-free.
Beyond teaching, our in-house Aquatic Training Academy offers ongoing professional development (CPDs), ensuring you can grow your skills while ascending an established career pathway—with opportunities for management or other roles.

Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be:
- Teaching baby and toddler swim classes with safety, fun, and structured progression at the forefront
- Engaging and motivating young learners to build swimming skills and confidence
- Adhering to Swim Ireland curriculum standards and NCLT guidelines
- Fostering a positive, inclusive culture within the community
- Participating in team activities and organisational events
Requirements
To excel in this role, we’re looking for:
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for working with babies/toddlers
- A valid teaching qualification in A one of the following:
- STA Baby or Pre-school qualification
- Swim Ireland Baby and Toddler certification
- Judicious preference for proven experience (though training may be provided for:
- RLSS UK NPLQ
- RLSS UK NRASTC
- STA Safeguarding/first aid awards).
- A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
