Senior Back End Developer

Location: London / hybrid, with two - three days per week in office

Salary: Circa £90,000 + 20% bonus

Permanent

Futureheads is partnered with a distinctive corporate intelligence consultancy undergoing a full internal technology transformation.

They are rebuilding legacy internal systems from the ground up, replacing an older NetSuite-era setup with modern applications that support consultant workflows, data collection, and reporting.

The Role

  • Build and deliver back-end services for internal corporate intelligence platforms.
  • Work with large, varied data sets and turn them into usable information for internal teams.
  • Develop in TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.
  • Support AI-enabled workflows, including integrations with AWS Bedrock, Claude, and Cursor.
  • Work closely with the CTO, a UK-based staff engineer, and a distributed engineering team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Comfort working with AWS; exposure to Bedrock or AI-enabled workflows is useful but not essential.
  • A pragmatic engineer who can contribute in a small, evolving team.
  • Comfortable building internal tools rather than high-scale public-facing products.
