We are a Global Recruitment specialist that provides support to the clients across EMEA, APAC, US and Canada. We have an excellent job opportunity for you.
Role Title: Java Backend Engineer
Location: Sheffield
Duration: Until 31/12/2026
Work setup: 3 days onsite/week
Pay Rate: £380 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)
Role Description:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and support Microservices-based architectures following industry best practices.
- Build RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure solutions.
- Develop asynchronous/event-driven solutions using Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in system design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
- Write unit, integration, and automation tests.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, DevOps teams, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution.
