Lead Backend Engineer - Go + Distributed Systems

📍 London - 3 days onsite
📄 6 months starting ASAP
💰 Competitive day rate - Outside IR35

I'm working with an innovative technology company looking for a Lead Backend Engineer to help build and evolve a highly scalable workflow orchestration platform used in a complex enterprise environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving difficult backend and distributed systems problems at scale.

  • Production Go (Golang)
  • Distributed systems and event-driven architectures
  • Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms
  • gRPC / Protobuf APIs
  • Workflow orchestration (Temporal or similar is a plus)
  • Designing reliable, fault-tolerant backend services
