About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Product-Focused Backend Engineer with expertise in functional programming and distributed systems to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and scaling backend infrastructure that supports cutting-edge AI applications within highly regulated industries. Your work will directly impact the platform’s ability to process complex, multi-modal data, enabling professionals to deploy customizable, no-code AI solutions that produce transparent and verifiable outputs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI infrastructure, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with functional programming languages such as Elixir, Scala, Haskell, Clojure, Go, Node.js, or F#.
- Proven track record of designing, building, and scaling distributed backend systems.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code and cloud orchestration tools, including AWS, Terraform, and Docker.
- Familiarity with queue management systems, observability tooling, and deploying in high-velocity environments.
- Interest or experience in GenAI, prompt engineering, or related AI fields.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, product focus, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs that serve as the core infrastructure for internal systems and customer-facing applications.
- Scale platform architecture to support multi-tenant environments, high-throughput AI workloads, and large-scale data processing.
- Integrate foundation models such as GPT-4.1, Claude 4, Gemini 1.5, and their successors to address real-world, multi-modal data challenges.
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to deploy features and improvements rapidly, ensuring alignment with user needs.
- Participate actively in setting team goals, defining technical metrics, and prioritizing tasks based on impact and outcomes.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold high engineering standards.
- Stay updated with emerging AI trends and incorporate best practices into platform development.
