The Role

A technical, hands-on role where you will:

  • Build stateful microservices, event-driven ingestion pipelines, and state machines in Python and PostgreSQL.
  • Design multi-tenant architecture enabling seamless onboarding of new sites and customers through configuration.
  • Ensure sub-second bounded read latency, fault-tolerant execution, and zero-downtime production deployments.
  • Interface third-party operational feeds, legacy channels, and communication streams into a unified data schema.
  • Define robust TypeScript API contracts consumed by the frontend and establish testing/on-call standards on AWS.
  • Work directly on-site with live operational staff to fold real-world feedback into platform capabilities.

The Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years of production backend software engineering experience using Python.
  • Strong relational database modeling expertise in PostgreSQL, covering concurrency, locks, and idempotency.
  • Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures, state machines, and AWS cloud environments.
  • London-based location with full eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
