Enso Recruitment are proud to be working with a globally recognised organisation operating at the heart of international financial markets, who are now looking to bring a talented Back End Engineer into their growing Belfast engineering team.

The Opportunity

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a newly formed team working on a large-scale, cloud-native platform transformation.

You'll work alongside engineers on cutting-edge technology, gaining exposure to best-in-class architecture and modern engineering practices while contributing to a high-impact, strategic initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of back end services and APIs using.NET C# within a cloud-based distributed architecture
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK to automate deployment and resource management
  • Ensure high-quality code through unit testing, automated testing, and strong adherence to engineering best practices
  • Work closely with BAs, QA, and Product teams to deliver solutions that align with business requirements
  • Support Agile delivery through active participation in planning, estimation, and prioritisation activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to minimise business impact
  • Contribute to the simplification and modernisation of the broader technology landscape
  • Maintain clear documentation of code, processes, and system configurations

About You

  • 3+ years' experience in back end software development
  • Solid professional experience with C# (.NET 8+) and back end development
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
  • Comfortable working with Git and version control best practices
  • Experience working in technical platform teams delivering reusable services across multiple projects
  • Able to work collaboratively with BAs and Product Owners to clarify requirements and constructively challenge assumptions where needed
  • A genuine team player who is happy to support colleagues and contribute across development areas beyond your core specialism
