The Role
The Award-winning culinary team, led by the Head Chef, seeks a Head Steward to drive operational excellence, hygiene, and team culture.
Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Hygiene & Maintenance:
- Oversee cleanliness of all kitchen porters, equipment, surfaces, and storage to meet food safety standards.
- Follow hazardous chemical protocols and ongoing training.

Inventory & Sustainability:
- Manage stock of cleaning supplies, crockery, glassware, and tools.
- Develop waste reduction and recycling programmes.

Team Leadership:
- Schedule kitchen porter staff using Quinyx time management system based on demand.
- Conduct daily briefings and handovers to align cleaning, hygiene, and staff availability.

Culture & Standards:
- Reinforce high performance and team morale.
- Enforce HOME values (Hospitality, Overcoming challenges, Motivation, Empathy) for a safe and respected work environment.
Requirements
Required (example responsibilities also list qualifications):
- Ability to create and enforce rigorous cleaning schedules (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Certified compliance with hazardous chemicals and food safety training.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Experience managing kitchen warehills and waste programmes.
- Team-management approach with clear, consistent expectations.

Hours & Salary
- Permanent, Full-Time contract (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday).
