About The Role
We are supporting a high-growth cybersecurity SaaS scale-up in their search for a skilled Node.js Backend Developer. This fully remote position within the UK offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of critical production APIs and serverless microservices. As a key member of the engineering team, you will work closely with senior engineers to design, develop, and maintain secure, reliable services that operate in real-time to safeguard users. Your contributions will directly impact the security and efficiency of the company's platform, making this role ideal for a developer passionate about building robust backend systems in a dynamic environment.

- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Node.js development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with AWS Amplify is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of API security protocols, including OAuth and JWT.
- Proficiency in SQL and MySQL query optimization, with experience working with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and modern development workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and secure RESTful APIs and serverless microservices on AWS to support the company's SaaS platform.
- Optimize data access and query performance across MySQL/RDS and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
- Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and reliable software releases.
- Implement observability tools and practices to monitor system health and performance.
- Contribute to architecture design, testing, and comprehensive documentation to support maintainability and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security, reliability, and high-quality code delivery.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in backend development and cloud technologies.
