About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Developer to join our dynamic team at Waracle. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of digital transformation by designing and delivering robust backend solutions. Operating in a hybrid work environment, you will enjoy the flexibility of working remotely while engaging with your colleagues in our Glasgow or Dundee offices two days a week. As a Senior Developer, you will go beyond coding; you will be a key influencer within our engineering practice, driving technical excellence, fostering knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior team members. Your expertise will be vital in creating scalable, maintainable, and secure digital solutions that align with client needs and industry best practices.

Qualifications
- A proven track record of contributing to the successful delivery of complex digital products and solutions.
- Deep practical experience with .NET C# and related frameworks.
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms and tools such as Azure, Durable Functions, Event sourcing, SQL, and Docker.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, including SOLID, maintainability, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a supportive and encouraging style, capable of mentoring team members and translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with front-end frameworks, such as React.js, is a plus but not mandatory.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver end-to-end backend subsystems, ensuring they are modular, scalable, and maintainable.
- Champion high standards of code quality, security, and testing through peer reviews and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design technical solutions that meet client requirements and project goals.
- Translate complex technical decisions into clear, accessible language for clients and stakeholders, fostering trust and understanding.
- Mentor junior developers, providing constructive feedback and encouraging their professional development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices, tools, and methodologies within the team.
- Balance speed and quality to ensure the timely and sustainable delivery of features and solutions.
