About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Back End Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing and developing high-quality backend systems that underpin our online savings platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, front-end developers, and cloud engineers, to deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions. Your expertise will help shape the architecture and technical strategy of our systems, ensuring they are resilient, efficient, and aligned with best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C#/.NET, with significant experience in cloud-based development on Azure, and a passion for mentoring junior engineers and driving technical excellence.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on back end systems.
  • Proficiency in C# and the .NET framework, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Deep knowledge of SOLID principles, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend systems to support our online savings platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
  • Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of all backend services.
  • Lead architectural discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technical stack.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance our systems and processes.
