Position: Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

Type: Contract

Compensation: $30 - $80/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize robust backend APIs using Python and FastAPI frameworks.
  • Implement scalable and efficient solutions leveraging AWS cloud services and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Architect and deploy secure, high-performance real-time systems utilizing WebSockets and message queues.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver technical excellence and innovative solutions.
  • Review and refactor legacy codebases to improve maintainability, performance, and scalability.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, ensuring clarity for both internal and external teams.

Requirements:

  • Have expert-level proficiency in Python with a strong background in backend development.
  • Have in-depth experience with AWS services and cloud-based application deployment.
  • Have hands-on expertise in building APIs with FastAPI and implementing real-time features using WebSockets.
  • Have strong knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and microservices management.
  • Have a solid understanding of message queues and event-driven architecture.
