About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Back-End Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing the core technology platform that powers our digital health services. Your work will directly impact the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our systems, ensuring seamless support for healthcare delivery at scale. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and front-end developers, to create solutions that are not only technically sound but also aligned with user needs and business goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cloud-based engineering, a keen interest in AI, and a desire to work in a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving health outcomes through technology.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in back-end software and systems engineering, with proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable platforms. You should have hands-on experience working with cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and demonstrate a practical approach to solving engineering challenges using a variety of tools and technologies. A deep interest in artificial intelligence and its application in software development is highly desirable, along with a track record of incorporating AI tools into engineering workflows to enhance productivity. Candidates should have excellent problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a remote setting while maintaining strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable back-end services, systems, and platform capabilities to support our digital health solutions.
- Build and maintain cloud-based infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Implement modern engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring, to improve development workflows and system reliability.
- Leverage AI and machine learning tools to enhance system functionality and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and tools, integrating them into the platform to improve scalability and user experience.
- Document system architecture, processes, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
