Backend Software Engineer / Developer (C++ Python) London / WFH

Are you a bright, ambitious technologist with strong C++ and Python skills combined with a good understanding of the trade lifecycle?
You could be progressing your career as a hands-on Backend Software Engineer at a tech lead systematic trading firm.
As a Backend Software Engineer you will contribute to the ongoing development of proprietary, data-driven systems. You'll play a key role in designing, implementing and optimising software components that power systematic trading strategies.

You'll collaborate closely with highly experienced engineers and quantitative researchers whose backgrounds span hedge funds, global tech firms and leading investment banks.
Location / WFH:
You'll join colleagues in lovely offices by St James Park on a fulltime basis, Monday to Friday.
About you:
- You have achieved a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field
- You have software development experience using both C++ and Python
- You have a deep knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as Data Structures, Algorithms, Data Processing and transformation
- You're comfortable working in Linux environments
- You have advanced problem solving skills
- You're naturally inquisitive, keen to learn and develop your skills
