About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Tech4Good Recruitment. This role is critical in developing and enhancing the core technology platform that powers our remote digital health services. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems, ensuring they are robust, secure, and capable of supporting a growing user base. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in back-end software and systems engineering, with proven experience in designing and deploying scalable platforms. Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a practical understanding of cloud services, microservices architecture, and modern development practices. A keen interest and hands-on experience with AI tools and techniques, along with a problem-solving mindset, are highly desirable. Relevant educational qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, complemented by a portfolio of projects that showcase your ability to build and optimize complex systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services and system capabilities to support digital health applications.
- Maintain and enhance cloud-based infrastructure within the Google Cloud Platform environment, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate them into reliable engineering solutions.
- Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation, to ensure maintainability and quality.
- Leverage AI tools and modern engineering techniques to streamline workflows, improve problem-solving efficiency, and innovate development processes.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to ensure optimal platform operation.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance the platform's capabilities and performance.
