About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Backend Systems Developer to join our dynamic engineering team at Candour Solutions Limited. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining critical backend integrations that underpin our digital platform. Your work will ensure seamless data exchange between customer-facing applications and core operational systems such as warehouse management, ERP, and finance platforms. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-performance, scalable, and resilient systems that support millions of data points daily. As part of our team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and operational teams, to deliver robust technical solutions that drive business success.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong background in strongly typed programming languages. You should have proven expertise in integrating complex business-critical systems, particularly ERP, warehouse management, or finance platforms. Strong SQL skills, including database design and performance tuning, are essential. A solid understanding of software architecture principles such as SOLID, Clean Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design is required. Experience with modern development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control systems like Git, is also necessary. Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications, message queues, and event-driven architectures will be highly advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining backend integrations between digital platforms and core business systems such as warehouse, ERP, and finance solutions.
- Building scalable middleware to support order processing, inventory synchronization, and real-time data exchange, ensuring high efficiency and reliability.
- Developing and maintaining REST APIs and event-driven integrations across multiple systems.
- Implementing queue-based processing to support high-volume asynchronous workloads while enhancing system resilience through retry mechanisms, circuit breakers, and fault-tolerant design principles.
- Collaborating with engineering teams, product managers, and operational stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions aligned with business needs.
- Contributing to engineering standards, conducting code reviews, mentoring junior team members, and sharing knowledge to foster continuous improvement.
- Developing modern, cloud-ready services with clean, maintainable, and scalable architecture.
- Monitoring system performance and identifying opportunities for enhancement in reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
