Backlink Outreach / Link-Building Specialist
We’re looking for a Backlink Outreach / Link-Building Specialist to help grow our website’s authority through high-quality backlink acquisition and editorial outreach.
Your primary responsibility will be to secure relevant, authoritative placements and grow the number of high-quality referring domains through channels such as HARO/Qwoted, podcasts, guest posts, and other editorial opportunities.
This is a results-driven role. We care about the quality and impact of the placements you secure — not simply how many pitches you send.
What You’ll Do
- Identify relevant, authoritative websites and media opportunities for backlink acquisition.
- Conduct targeted outreach to secure editorial placements.
- Pursue opportunities through HARO/Qwoted, podcasts, guest posts, and similar channels.
- Build and manage relationships with relevant outlets and publishers.
- Manage opportunities from initial outreach through to confirmed placement.
- Maintain an active pipeline of upcoming backlink and editorial opportunities.
- Track placements and referring-domain growth using Semrush.
- Monitor backlink quality and flag potentially spammy, low-authority, or paid-placement-heavy opportunities.
- Provide a concise weekly report covering:
- Placements landed
- Placements currently in progress
- New referring domains
- Any red flags or issues
- Your target outlets/sites for the following week

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
How You’ll Be Measured
Your performance will be evaluated against four core KPIs:
- New Referring Domains
- 15–25 new referring domains per month
- Dofollow, Editorial-Relevant Links
- 70%+ of new links
- Authority Score Trend
- +0.5–1.0 average monthly increase
- Placements Landed
- 4–8 placements per month
These KPIs are designed to measure actual results, rather than activity. Metrics such as total backlinks, pitches sent, or emails opened are not considered success metrics.
AI search citations will also be tracked separately through monthly spot-checks of priority queries.
