Job Description:
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Backup Architect (f/m) to join our DIC public and private cloud team based in Toulouse, France.
You will be part of a team developing IT Backup Services, IT Resilience, and Cyber security for Hosting. As part of the DIC public and private cloud team, you will be involved in driving the strategy, design, and implementation of our backup services aiming at securing our critical information assets, ensuring they are recoverable and compliant with regulatory standards.

Your Challenges:
- Develop and maintain a long-term data protection strategy and technology roadmap for hybrid, multi-cloud, container, and on-premise environments.
- Lead the technical design of scalable, resilient, and secure Disaster Recovery architectures, ensuring robust failover capabilities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (immutable backups, air-gapped storage) to continuously modernize the data protection stack and reduce technical debt.
- Drive the automation and orchestration of backup and recovery processes to improve efficiency and minimize the risk of human error.
- Act as the technical authority and highest escalation point for complex data recovery failures, bridging operations, security, and business continuity.
Your Boarding Pass:
- Significant professional experience in IT Infrastructure, with a strong focus on Backup and Recovery Architecture.
- Deep knowledge of Enterprise Backup platforms (Veritas, Cohesity, Veeam) and storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS, Object Storage).
- Strong understanding of virtualization platforms, database backup methodologies, cloud, and container technologies.
- Solid grasp of security strategies including ransomware protection, encryption, and Zero Trust architecture.
- Strong analytical thinking, crisis management skills, and the ability to communicate technical risks effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
