Badminton Club Coach – University of Chester

🏸 Join the University of Chester as a Badminton Club Coach!

Are you passionate about badminton and inspiring others to develop their skills? Sport and Active Lifestyle at the University of Chester is looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Badminton Club Coach to lead and develop our student badminton club.

Pay

💷 £25 per hour

(Maximum earnings of approximately £2,100 per year)

Contract

📅 October–December and January–March

(21 weeks of coaching across the academic year)

About The Role

As Badminton Club Coach, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive coaching sessions for players of all abilities.
  • Support the development of student athletes and club members.
  • Work closely with club captains, committee members, and the Sport Development Team.
  • Act as a positive role model and ambassador for the University's sporting community.
  • Follow the sportCHESTER Coaches Code of Conduct and University safeguarding standards.

Essential Requirements

✅ Foundation/Level 1 Coaching Qualification in Badminton (minimum)

✅ Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Sport Certificate

✅ Experience working with young adults

✅ Excellent communication and motivational skills

✅ Ability to plan and deliver coaching sessions independently

Desirable

⭐ First Aid Qualification

⭐ Experience competing or playing badminton at club level or above
