Chocolates of Glenshiel Job Opening

Position: Baker

Location: Chocolates of Glenshiel, Sheilbridge, Kyle of Lochalsh

Hours: Flexible, day shifts, 24-35hrs/week

£13.50-£15.00/hour

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic baker to join our team at our café in the beautiful Glenshiel in the Scottish Highlands.

We’re a friendly, welcoming café who are all about warm Highland hospitality and offering outstanding food. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys creating delicious bakes using premium ingredients – locally sourced where possible – and experimenting with new flavours. Care, quality and presentation will be very important to you.

  • Sole responsibility for preparing and baking a range of cakes, scones, pastries, traybakes and seasonal specials.
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of quality, taste and presentation
  • Managing ingredients and day-to-day baking requirements
  • Keeping the bakery pristinely clean and organised
  • Working closely with the café team to ensure everything runs smoothly

About you:

  • You must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Ideally, you’ll have professional baking experience, though eager amateur bakers are also very welcome to apply
  • Passionate about good food and quality ingredients
  • Reliable, well organised and able to work at a fast pace
  • Highly creative with an eye for presentation
  • Committed to high hygiene standards
  • Aware of allergens and special dietary requirements with recipes or ideas up your sleeve to serve all of our customers
