We’re looking for passionate and creative Bakers to join the team at Boxcar, with opportunities available across both daytime and nighttime shifts.

This is an exciting opportunity for bakers at different stages of their careers. We’re looking for people who can support with core baking tasks such as cake production and prep, as well as more experienced bakers confident in bread, sourdough, and viennoiserie, including double lamination.

You’ll be part of a bakery with real ambition, where quality, creativity, and growth are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll work closely with our Executive Chef as part of a team that is passionate about producing exceptional baked goods and continually developing.

The Role

As a Baker at Boxcar, you'll be part of a passionate team producing high-quality breads, pastries, and baked goods. Working with carefully sourced ingredients and a strong focus on craft, you'll play an important role in maintaining the quality, consistency, and attention to detail that Boxcar is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Bakery Production & Craft

  • Work across bread, viennoiserie, cakes, and cookies
  • Develop confidence with sourdoughs, fermentation, and lamination
  • Support both batch production and smaller, more detailed bakes
  • Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation

Creative & Development

  • Contribute to an evolving bakery offer with regularly changing products
  • Bring ideas, curiosity, and creativity to the team
  • Learn from senior bakers and collaborate on product development
  • Respond to seasonality, feedback, and customer needs
