We have 3 x 15-hour vacancies based at the Valentine Centre within our Estates and Facilities Directorate. Shifts are between 4pm and 7pm Monday to Friday.
Role Overview
As a Facilities Assistant you will provide a comprehensive cleaning service for in-patient and community sites as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for general cleaning duties and will be carried out in all areas including clinical, sanitary, and administration areas, in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
- The post holder will ensure that Infection Control, COSHH, and Health and Safety procedures are always followed.
- To ensure the correct use of cleaning materials.
- Ensure the correct use, cleaning, and storage of cleaning equipment.
- Ensure the correct storage of all cleaning and disposable items when issued.
- Dispose of all categories of waste safely and in accordance with Trust guidelines and ensure that equipment is stored correctly.
- Replenish all disposables, soaps, etc., as required.
- Collect refuse and store at designed collection points.
- Ensure the correct use of mechanical cleaning equipment including floor polisher.
- Ensure own cleaning stock is maintained.
- Complete cleaning schedules on a daily basis.
