The Role

The post of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to oversee and co-ordinate the provision of an efficient, high quality and cost effective Housekeeping service to all Wards and Departments on site and, where applicable, to off-site locations, under the direction of the Facilities Operations Manager and Senior Hotel Services Supervisor, and to promote excellent standards of team working and Customer Care.

  • Ensuring that hospital Wards, and Departments are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene, environmental cleanliness and appearance and leading the Housekeeping team in delivering high quality services to all areas; supporting the delivery of service modernisation and National Initiatives.
  • To Supervise Wards and Departments deploy Housekeepers and Catering Assistants on a daily basis to ensure that the Hospital is maintained in a safe and hygienic condition ensuring a pleasant environment.
  • To organize the rosters to ensure that appropriate cover is provided to all areas.
  • To ensure the correct handling, regeneration and service of Frozen Meals by Housekeepers and Catering Assistants and to ensure compliance with Trust Policy and Legislation.
  • To assist the Hotel Services Manager in the provision of other services within the Hotel Services Department and to assist with the recruitment, training and development of staff.
