Opportunity at Nexus Provision PIPE at HMP Eastwood Park

An opportunity has arisen to join our Nexus Provision PIPE (Psychologically Informed Planned Environment) at HMP Eastwood Park which forms part of the National Offender Personality Disorder Pathway (OPD) provision within the prison. The Nexus Provision PIPE sits alongside our Nexus Day and Nexus Outreach Services.

Nexus is a welcoming, compassionate and innovative team to work within and consists of a multi-disciplinary clinical and operational team. There are lots of opportunities for development within our service from specialist training and supervision.

Role of an Assistant Psychologist

The role of an assistant psychologist on the Nexus PIPE is to provide support to Nexus Personality Disorder Service in the collection, input and analysis of research project data and, under supervision, to support the delivery of clinical work including assessment and support of service users on the Provision PIPE. To observe professional and Trust guidelines for professional conduct, including accurate record keeping and to undertake CPD and attend personal clinical supervision sessions.

We are looking for someone with an interest in working with female offenders with a personality disorder. People that attract a diagnosis of personality disorder are often stigmatised and we are therefore keen to find somebody driven to support the wider system to challenge the stigma surrounding personality disorder.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
