Role Overview
To provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the Consultant Psychiatrist and members of the medical team, assisting them in achieving their objectives and to liaise with all relevant and appropriate services. These objectives are to deliver a specialist clinical service for the Depression Research and Advice clinic (DRAC) as well as provide clinical cover for out-patient care, Ketamine and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments at the Oleaster, and to assist appointments of patients being considered for clinical trials, if required.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties.
- Receipt of all correspondence.
- Booking of new patient appointments.
- Diary management.
- Organisation of meetings and attendance at MDT weekly meetings.
- Clinic administration.
- Audio transcription and text processing of clinical letters, reports, and other correspondence as required by the medical team.

Focal Point of Contact
- Acting as a focal point of contact for the medical team.
- Responsible for the dissemination of information, messages, and enquiries.
- Liaising with multidisciplinary team members, other health professionals and staff within the Trust, GP’s, Social Workers, Service Users, Carers, and any other appropriate external agencies.
