Job Summary
Would you like to play a key role in shaping the future of digital healthcare at one of the UK's largest NHS Trusts?
We are looking for a motivated and organised Business Change Support Officer to join the Digital Healthcare Business Analysis and Change Management (BACM) team at University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB). This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of innovative digital transformation programmes that improve the experience of our patients and staff across multiple hospital sites.
Working alongside Business Analysts, Change Managers, clinical teams and senior stakeholders, you will help coordinate the Trust's pipeline of digital health initiatives, manage business change requests, support governance processes and contribute to the successful delivery of projects that directly impact patient care.

Main Duties, Tasks & Skills Required
As a Business Change Support Officer, you will help coordinate and support the delivery of digital healthcare initiatives across University Hospitals Birmingham. You will provide day-to-day support for the Business Analysis and Change Management team, helping to manage incoming work requests, maintain project and governance documentation, coordinate meetings and monitor actions to ensure change activities progress effectively.
You will work closely with Business Analysts, Change Managers, clinical teams and operational stakeholders to support digital transformation projects that improve services for patients and staff. Your responsibilities will include maintaining action, risk and issue logs, supporting governance groups and project boards, managing records and documentation, producing reports and helping to coordinate business change activities across a varied portfolio of work.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities in a busy environment. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail and confidence using Microsoft 365 applications and other digital systems. You will enjoy working collaboratively, building positive relationships with colleagues and contributing to the successful delivery of change.

Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE level English Language / Maths / ICT
- Business Admin level 4/5 or equivalent to degree level
Desirable
- Relevant on-going learning and development to degree level.
Experience
Essential
- Relevant demonstrable experience within an ICT NHS environment in a support capacity
- Experience of supporting a multi-disciplinary EPR/Business Change team
- Writing and preparing Business Change documentation
- A good understanding of risk and issue management
- Engaging project stakeholders internally and externally, and at all levels
- A good general understanding and knowledge of ICT systems
- A good understanding of NHS strategies and plans and how they affect delivery of ICT within Trusts
- Good understanding of the Trust's EPR Digital Health Programme
- Good communication skills
- Good level of personal and team organisation
- Full understanding of the NHS Information Governance and GDPR policies.
