Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People is looking for compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RSCN, RNCB or RNLD) to join our care team in Loughborough.

As part of our specialist hospice team, you'll provide high-quality palliative, end of life and short break care to babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions in a supportive, family-centred environment.

With 1:1 nursing care, specialist training and opportunities to work alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, this is a unique role where you can make a meaningful difference every day.

Location: Rainbows Hospice, Loughborough

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, worked on a shift basis

Contract: Permanent

About The Role

You will join our nursing team delivering symptom management, palliative and end of life care, and planned short breaks. Working alongside therapists, ACPs and other specialists, you will:

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for babies, children and young people.
  • Deliver high-quality short break, palliative and end of life care.
  • Support the Band 6 Team Leader and work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure safe medicines management.
  • Promote high standards through quality assurance, audit and continuous improvement.
  • Involve children, young people and families in care planning and delivery.

  • Qualified RSCN (Child Branch), RNCB or RNLD.
  • Relevant post-registration experience or equivalent placement experience.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs.
  • High standards of clinical care and communication.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to support colleagues.
  • Understanding of evidence-based practice.
