Do you have experience in plastics, aesthetics or reconstructive surgery and enjoy supporting patients before and after treatment?

Join our specialist Outpatients team and work alongside leading plastic surgeons, providing skilled nursing care that helps patients feel informed, reassured and well cared for throughout their treatment.

A little about the role

We are a close and supportive team made up of a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Outpatients Sister, Healthcare Assistants and Consultants. Together, we provide safe, individualised care for patients attending for plastic and reconstructive surgery.

You will assess patients, plan and deliver their care, support them before and after procedures, and use your clinical judgement when concerns need investigation or escalation. As your experience grows, we will support you to develop the confidence and skills to take charge of the department when required.

What you'll be doing

  • Assess patients attending the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Outpatients department and develop individualised care plans.
  • Provide safe pre and post-operative nursing care, including patient preparation, observations and recovery monitoring.
  • Undertake wound assessments, dressing changes and ongoing wound management in line with clinical guidance.
  • Provide clear advice to patients about wound care, recovery, medication and when to seek further support.
  • Recognise signs of infection, deterioration or complications and escalate concerns promptly to the appropriate clinician.
  • Assist Consultants and the Plastics CNS during outpatient consultations, treatments and minor procedures.
  • Maintain accurate nursing records and document assessments, interventions and outcomes using electronic clinical systems.
  • Respond appropriately to clinical emergencies and help maintain a safe, clean and well-prepared treatment environment.
  • Support Healthcare Assistants, junior colleagues and student nurses with their clinical learning and development.
  • Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement and the development of evidence-based nursing practice within the department.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
